Privacy Policy
Effective September 22, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes the information LegalCare, P.C. and its affiliates (“LegalCare,” “we,” or “us”) may collect from and about you when you visit our website, speak with us by phone, message us, participate in an advice session, or otherwise interact with us about our services (collectively, the “Services”). It also describes how we use, disclose, retain, and protect that information. Nothing in this Privacy Policy limits any confidentiality, privilege, or other protection applicable to information under law or the rules of professional conduct governing lawyers.
Overview
Please review this Privacy Policy and our Terms of Use carefully. If you do not agree to the Terms of Use or do not want your information handled as described in this Privacy Policy, do not use or access the Services.
This Privacy Policy describes our privacy practices. It applies whether you interact with us through our website, by phone, by text or email, or otherwise. It does not itself create an attorney-client relationship. The scope and terms of any attorney-client relationship are described by our Advice Session Terms, which you will be asked to review and accept before an advice session. Where applicable law or the rules of professional conduct that govern lawyers require separate consent or authorization for a particular activity (for example, recording or transcription of a call or sharing details of your matter with prospective lawyers as we seek to secure you legal representation), we obtain that consent separately, whether through the Advice Session Terms or a separate notice or authorization.

You are not required to provide us with any of the information above. However, if you do not provide certain information, we may be unable to provide some or all of the Services.
LegalCare Network Lawyers. LegalCare works with a network of lawyers and law firms to ensure our clients have access to lawyers for ongoing representation suitable to their needs and budget. In addition to the information above, we collect information from lawyers in our network, such as professional and contact information, areas of practice, jurisdictions of practice, and availability. If a lawyer connects a calendar to our Services, we may access calendar availability information to facilitate scheduling.

1.2. Information Collected Automatically.
When you visit our website, we may automatically collect information such as your IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, and the date and time of your visit. We use only the cookies needed for our website to function. We do not use third-party analytics, advertising pixels, or session-replay tools, and we do not allow third parties to collect information about your activity across other websites through our site.
1.3. Information Collected from Other Sources.
We may also receive information about you from other sources, including referral sources, other lawyers and law firms, people or entities involved in your legal matter, service providers, and publicly available sources. We may combine this information with information we collect directly from you or automatically through the Services.

2.1. Artificial Intelligence Tools.
We may use artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning, and other automated technologies in providing and administering the Services. For example, we may use these technologies to develop or improve features and functionality, enhance the efficiency and quality of work provided to our clients, support legal work and matter management, and improve how we respond to requests or inquiries. When we use these technologies, your information may be processed by us or our service providers to perform these functions, subject to applicable law and the rules of professional conduct that govern lawyers. We use AI service providers that are contractually restricted from using information processed on our behalf to train or improve publicly available AI models, and their access to and use of such information is limited to what is necessary to provide, maintain, and secure the applicable services.
2.2. Other Authorized Uses.
We may also use your information for other purposes that we disclose to you and, when required by law, with your consent. We may combine information collected from different sources for any of the purposes described above. We may also aggregate or de-identify information and use or disclose it as permitted by applicable law and the rules of professional conduct governing lawyers.
3. How We Disclose Information.
We may disclose the information we collect to the following types of entities or in the following circumstances, subject to applicable law and the rules of professional conduct that govern lawyers:
- Affiliates. We may disclose your information to affiliates under common ownership or control of LegalCare to provide the Services and for other legitimate business purposes, such as the administration of IT services, security, accounting, and general business and financial management.
- Vendors. We may disclose your information to third-party vendors that perform services on our behalf that help us operate our business, such as data storage and web hosting, billing and payment, customer service, and legal services. We require our vendors to use information disclosed to them only for specified purposes in providing services to us and not for their own purposes.
- Other law firms or lawyers. LegalCare may share, at your direction or with your permission, your personal information with other law firms and/or other lawyers where we jointly represent you or assume joint responsibility for your matter, when we refer matters or potential matters to other counsel, or as otherwise required in connection with our legal representation of you. We take appropriate precautions to preserve the confidentiality of information disclosed in connection with our legal services and any attorney-client privilege that may apply.
- Legal compliance. We may disclose your information where we believe disclosure is necessary or appropriate to comply with applicable law, regulation, or legal process (such as a subpoena, warrant, or court order), including to respond to any government or regulatory request or inquiry.
- Protection of rights, property, and safety. We may disclose your information where we believe disclosure is necessary or appropriate to protect the rights, property, or safety of LegalCare, users of the Services, or others, including to prevent, detect, or investigate fraud, abuse, illegal activity, or violations of our Terms of Use and other agreements, to defend ourselves from claims or allegations, and to enforce our terms and policies.
- Business transactions. In connection with a merger, acquisition, reorganization, sale or transfer of some or all of our assets or equity, or any similar transaction, your information may be disclosed to third parties involved in the transaction, including during due diligence. If such a transaction occurs, we will use reasonable efforts to require the recipient to handle your personal information in a manner consistent with this Privacy Policy or otherwise permitted by applicable law.
- With your consent. We may disclose information with your consent or at your direction.
Notwithstanding the foregoing, we do not sell or share your personal information, including mobile information, with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging opt-in data and consent are excluded from the disclosures described above and will not be sold, rented, shared, or transferred, except to service providers supporting our messaging program or as required by law.
4. Security.
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information. We limit access to your information to personnel and service providers who need it to perform their responsibilities. However, no website, application, database, system, or electronic transmission of information can be guaranteed to be completely secure. By using our Services, you acknowledge that you understand and assume these risks.
5. Retention.
We retain your information for as long as it serves the purposes for which it was collected as described in this Privacy Policy, as subsequently authorized, as necessary or appropriate to provide the Services, and for business continuity purposes. We also retain information as required or permitted by applicable law and the rules of professional conduct that govern lawyers.
6. Children’s Privacy.
You must be at least 18 years of age to use our Services or participate in an advice session. Our Services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect or solicit “personal information” (as defined in the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act) from children under 13. If we learn we have collected or received personal information from a child under 13, we will delete that information. If you believe we might have any information directly from a child under 13, please contact us using the information in the “Contact Us” section of this Privacy Policy.
7. Links to Other Websites.
The Services may contain links to third-party websites or apps that we do not own or control. We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of those third parties. Any information you provide to them is governed by their own privacy policies, which we encourage you to review before providing your information.
